I'm a researcher/advocate committed to solving inequalities in access to special education and other social services for youths with disabilities at the intersection of multiple systemic involvements (housing, mental health, and the juvenile justice system) in our society.
My research focuses on how disability as an identity marker interplays with other identifiers (i.e., race, language, culture, and socioeconomic status) and perpetuates intersectional marginalization for youths with multifaceted needs. As a lifelong vision, I aim to remediate our community as a safe and nurturing place that promotes transformative agency of vulnerable- but filled with future possibilities- youths with disabilities.
